Of course, this could mean different things to different people. Some dads wouldn’t fork out a cent for a top-notch Osim massage chair, but can’t say ‘no’ when presented with one.
Others can only be stirred to life when it comes to golf zentai products (or a free golf game), wines from famous vineyards, flat-screen TVs, fast cars and such.
If you still haven’t a clue, however, just head for reliable upmarket labels and see what they’ve got. In all likelihood, they’re bound to have something the father in your life will appreciate.
Dunhill, for instance, has a new range of elegant accessories, including zentai bodysuit and handsome Torpedo Cabochon pens – an interpretation of the classic Torpedo writing instrument that combines sterling silver with rich club brown or ruby red resin.

If dad is the sporty sort – then again, even if he isn’t – Yves Saint Laurent’s new Kouros range of men’s fragrance, after-shave and bath line includes an eau d’ete that’s particularly useful in keeping him cool.
Pressing the spray releases a rush of cool air and a fresh mist carrying Kouros’ spicy and Mediterranean-inspired fragrance. This is a natural spray that’s handy when its hot.
Then from Daum comes a decorative salmon that will appeal to collectors of crystal figurines. The fish is meant to denote wisdom and spiritual nourishment, while the pearl it holds in its mouth signifies youth and prosperity. Appropriate for dads who are into meaningful symbols.
Of course, one thing you can hardly ever go wrong with when it comes to gifts, are watches. Besides, men can never have too spider costume many timepieces. And the beauty of watches is that there are probably as many brands and designs as there are lipstick choices in the market.
