Blue Roses

The Color Meanings Of Roses
Red roses: Have traditionally signified true love, passion, beauty, and courage. They can also suggest respect and congratulations. A single red rose is a universal symbol of love and is an accepted way of saying “I love you.” A thorn less red rose is meant to express love at first sight.
White roses: have traditionally meant innocence, secrecy or quiet, sacredness, youth. They can also be used to say, “I miss you.” They are often carried by brides to connote a happy and pure love. White rosebuds are thought to symbolize young girlhood.
Pink roses: have traditionally been given to communicate thanks, happiness, admiration, honesty, and grace. Pale pink roses are sometimes given to express sympathy. The pale type of roses can also signify sweetness. Dark pink roses are traditionally given as thanks.
Pale purple roses: are sometimes called lavender roses and sometimes referred to as lilac roses. In either case, they can symbolize love at first sight or enchantment.
Yellow roses have long stood for friendship, joy, new starts, freedom, welcomes, remembrance, jealousy, and delight. Yellow roses are traditionally sent to new mothers, recent graduates, and newlyweds as a type of congratulations. Yellow roses with red edges have often stood for new love or deep friendship.
Peachy roses: traditionally communicate appreciation, gratitude, agreements, and sincerity. The paler type of roses mean modesty while the darker variety are sometimes used to express desire.
Orange roses: signify desire and enthusiasm.
Black roses: do not exist, but florists create black roses through dyes. These express death and goodbyes.
Blue roses: were traditionally created by dyeing white roses. Because roses lack a gene to produce delphinidin, the primary plant pigment that produces true blue flowers. Delphinidin gives blue hues to flowers like violas and delphiniums. It also gives the blue-red color of the grape that produces Cabernet Sauvignon, and can be found in cranberries and Concord grapes. “Blue roses” have been bred by conventional hybridization methods, but the results, such as “Blue Moon” are more accurately described as lilac in color. However, after thirteen years of joint research by an Australian company Florigene, and Japanese company Suntory, a blue rose was created in 2004 using genetic engineering. Blue roses traditionally signify mystery or attaining the impossible. They are believed to be able to grant the owner youth or grant wishes. This symbolism derives from the rose’s meaning in the language of flowers common in Victorian times.
So no matter what your situation, there is a rose color or combination that will express what you want to say. Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to declare your intentions, remind someone how much you care, or express your appreciation of a friendship. The Language of Roses
Everywhere you go, roses are traditional favorites – they symbolize love and beauty. It is commonly sent as a gift to friends and families and for many people, the colors of the rose you send to someone can mean something.
For example, a pink rose flower can mean grace and gentility. If you give it to someone, you’re telling him/her “you’re gentle and graceful”. If you were given a rose with a deep pink color, they’re probably saying “thank you” while light pink roses mean sympathy and admiration. It is the best way to cheer up grieving family members. The regular pink roses can mean “I’m very happy with our relationship”.
Peach colored roses are usually used for decorations and in bouquets given to friends because they mean sociability, friendship and modesty. Of course, deep red is about saying “I love you” and is a favorite gift for Valentine’s Day. Few people also associate this color with passion and other noble values like respect and courage.
Contrary to what many people think, a white colored rose doesn’t only mean friendship. Fact is, it has several special meanings such as “you’re heavenly” and “I’m worthy of you”. It is often associated with values like reverence, humility, innocence, purity, secrecy and silence. It is most commonly used in weddings and is deemed as colorful as the red ones.
Yellow Philippine roses express joy and gladness. It is given to new mothers, newlyweds and graduates to celebrate their achievements. These usually serve as a reminder for your busy loved ones. Orange roses are for enthusiasm and desire. If you want to tell someone that you want to get to know them better, then this is the perfect color of roses to give them.
Lavender colored roses is a symbol of “falling in love” and is given to someone when you want to say “I am enchanted by you”. A blue rose is very difficult to find but there are already several companies trying to reproduce them naturally. Blue means mystery and it could also mean “attaining the impossible” – give this to someone and you’re ultimately saying “you are a rare gem, with you, I have attained the impossible”.
So, if you want to send multiple messages to someone, you send them a combination of colors. For example, white and red roses delivered together can mean “may be always be together as one”. Or send lavender and orange rose to say that you are falling in love and you want to know him/her better.
Or you can try this tip. Send 11 deep pink colored roses and 1 red rose to say this message to your partner: “thank you for being unique, I love you.”
